It can be a little intimidating to walk into an unfamiliar church.
Here's what you can expect at First Baptist.
FLAVOR
There are many "flavors" of Baptists.  At FBC, we are people who value the dignity and giftedness of all persons.  We select both women and men, young and mature, for leadership at all levels.  We encourage open minds, thoughtful dialog and lifelong learning.  More specifics are described on our Values and Mission links.
WORSHIP STYLE
Sunday worship is traditional, with hymns, organ and a choir.  Some folks dress up, but many dress casually. For those who prefer a more laid-back, contempoary approach to worship, we offer The Bridge, our second campus just three blocks away.
CHILDREN AND TEENS
Child safety and nurture are high priorities.  All workers wear ID badges and carefully follow our Child Safety Policy.  Many of our faculty are public school educators.  A variety of age group classes encourage kids and teens to learn  the Bible, express worship through music, and develop awareness and practice in community and global concern.
PARTNERS
First Baptist partners with the Baptist General Assocation of Virginia on the state level, and with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship on the national and global levels.  Click on the links in the navigation bar to the left to learn more.
GPS
We are located three blocks from  Radford University and two blocks from Main Street in Radford.  Driving and parking information.
More information in the links in the navigation panel to the left.
