"If justice and mercy are to become a way of life for us, then our hearts must change and must always be changed by the redeeming power of Jesus Christ."
Our adult study of spiritual formation and missional church foundations continues during Sunday School through March 28.
Special Called Business Meeting
There will be a special called business meeting of the congregation on Wednesday, March 24 at 6:45 pm to consider the following motion from the Deacon Fellowship and Church Council:
Accepting God's call to be a missional church, we will establish, as feasible, a second campus of First Baptist Church.
If that motion carries, a second motion will be presented:
Create a small team, to be appointed by the Church Council, of at least five individuals including at least one Deacon Fellowship member and one Church Council member; this team will develop an implementation plan for the second campus.
"Town Hall" Forums Offer Q&A Opportunity
Two open forums are scheduled ahead of the Special Called Business Meeting to enable the church family to learn as much about the proposed establishment of a second campus. Updated information gleaned since the previous forums last fall will be presented, and there will be opportunity to ask questions. All persons associated with our church are encouraged to attend at least one of these: Wednesday, March 17 at 6:45 pm and Sunday, March 21 at 5:00 pm.
Food Pantry Drive Throughout March
March is our church's turn to re-stock the Radford Food Pantry. As one of the larger churches, we are counted on to provide a generous re-stocking of non-perishable items. Please pick up a few extra goods each time you grocery shop this month, and drop them in the wooden box in the Education Building foyer. Cash donations should be designated to "Radford Food Pantry."
Churchwide "Salads and Sweets" Dinner
The Deacons are hosting a dinner after worship on Sunday, March 14 that will feature home-made salads and desserts. The price of admission is canned food or cash donations for the Radford Food Pantry. Enjoy the fellowship and good food while helping the hungry in our area at the same time! Reservations are not necessary.

The Amazing Grays will hold a Potluck Luncheon on Thursday, March 11 at 11:30 am. Laura McDaniel, director of Virginia WMU, will be the guest speaker. Please let us know you're coming on the tear-off form attached to the bulletin.

Guest Speaker in Prayer Meeting
Laura McDaniel, executive director of Woman's Missionary Union of Virginia, will be present this Wednesday evening in Prayer Meeting to speak about missions cooperation among churches. She will also speak to the Amazing Grays the next day at a potluck luncheon (see separate article to right). Prayer Meeting begins at 6:45 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Youth Pizza and a Movie
The youth group will gather in the parking lot at 5:30 Saturday night to go to CiCi's Pizza for supper, and then on to the mall to see a movie (title to be determined later this week). Bring about $20 to cover all costs. Friends are welcome to come too!
VBS Faculty Enlistment
Be sure to stop by the Parlor before you leave on Sunday, March 21. Dede Alderman will be present to share handouts about Vacation Bible School and explain the many positions that need to be filled on the faculty. VBS will be held each evening, June 27 - July 1.

Global Missions
This is the spring season Week of Prayer for
Global Missions. Please be in prayer for missionaries serving in more than 100 hundred countries, and also prayerfully consider your contribution to our Easter Offering for Missions, which we are now receiving, with a goal of giving $ 4,000.00.
