The Amazing Grays will travel to Montpelier, James Madison's home near Orange, on Thursday, August 19.  Plan to leave from church at 8:30 am.  Admission and tour will cost $16.  A lunch stop at Mrs.  Rowe's restaurant in Staunton is planned along the way.  You can sign up for this outing on the bulletin tear-off section, or by calling the church office.

Deacon Selection Process
Ballots will be mailed to the congregation during the first week of September for the election of four deacons to new four year terms.  Persons who do not wish to be considered for election must notify the church office by no later than Sunday, August 22 and request their name not be included on the ballot.

Youth SummerSalt & More…
The youth group will travel to the Henderson's cabin on Claytor Lake this Monday for another fun SummerSalt featuring water sports, a hot dog supper and a time of Bible study.  Meet at church at 5:00 pm and bring a swimsuit and towel. 

Then, on Wednesday, we'll head over to Christiansburg for lunch and bowling. Bring about $15 to cover the cost of both.  Meet at church at 11:30 am.  Consider bringing a friend with you!

Prayer Focus This Week:

The church's vote this past Wednesday to create the position of Site Pastor marks another major step in establishing a greater presence among young adults through our second campus.  Please be in prayer for the process of calling a person to fill this position and for all that must be accomplished if we are to open in October.
